I went up into the mountains one weekend and set up a cheap nylon hammock between two trees. Laying there, I thought this might be a viable alternative to your typical bed. Crazy right? But it was so relaxing and comfortable. If this was going to be my new long-term bed, however, I needed something more skin-friendly than nylon. So after tediously searching and learning about the dangers of inorganic cotton, I chose La Siesta. Four months in, and my back has never felt better! The hammock keeps me cool at night thanks to the airflow beneath me, and the swaying motion puts me to sleep so fast. I only wish I thought of this sooner. The only thing you might need if you're going to use this for sleeping is a small pillow to support your neck. Forget the marketing of purple beds and tempurpedics and try a time-tested technology: the hammock.
