Exactly the 2-sided, not too thick mattress what we were looking for, but the springs are a little springier than we expected, making it not quite as firm as expected. We're using this on a slatted platform with a 2" latex topper, a bit of cushioning that much improves it. Together they feel GREAT to lie on, and we're sleeping well.

We are very happy with our mattresses! We have bought 2 in the last six months and intend on buying more to eventually replace every mattress in this house! We spent nearly $3k on a king size mattress a few years ago and it has been the worst mattress we have ever had. I researched mattresses for nearly a year for the current purchases. I had never heard of DLX before then. I bought the mattress based on reddit reviews and youtube and recommendations from mattress gurus on the internet, hoping only that it was at least better than what we had. The mattresses have far exceeded my low expectations. We are very happy with our DLX purchases. Great job.
