Mort Fertel and his wife have transformed their devastating losses into an outreach to married couples that is a true help. I've been given assurance through Mort's daily emails that we're not alone in our struggles. That means so very much! Our marital problems stem from our radically different views of how a couple should deal with money. Currently, we have very tight finances due to some unilateral decisions my husband has made. I have suggested to my husband that we purchase one of Mort's resources. He isn't interested. I'm currently seeking a new job/education to update my marketable skills. I don't have money to pay for Mort's resources right now. The emails keep those resources on my mind, and the kind spirit of the messages helps me tremendously. When I am able to do so, I'll be making a "lone ranger" purchase. Until then, the emails are an uplifting reminder that we're not alone, and that help is available. I'm glad to have that reminder!

Some very good ideas and advice. We started counseling in 1987 and never heard the ideas you present. Have wasted a lot of time trying to work out problems instead of trying to learn again.

I started reading Mort's emails each day, really looking forward to them. They were very helpful as they challenged me to look at things from a different perspective. After over two years of struggling to save a marriage from deceit and betrayal, I could recognise why I was clinging on to it. I haven't yet joined any of the recommended programs but I intend to. The emails were what I needed at that time. I look at couples who have separated and the problems it has caused and am glad that I have been able to avoid that. I wouldn't say that I have found peace in my marriage yet, or really come to terms with what my husband did, but I can see that repair IS possible, and I feel like my marriage can actually be better than it was before; something which I wouldn't have believed possible before. People make terrible mistakes but with the right support these mistakes can become a source of growth and improvement. With Mort's words of wisdom I think this is the direction we're heading in. Thank you.

I started going to Therapy but unfortunately I didn't feel it was helping me at all. Most places are looking to find blame rather than solutions. The stories here were similar to that of ours and we could relate and apply the advice being given. Thank you very much!
