Some background: I have been a Zen monk for a decade living in the great mountain where my monastery sits peacefully. This 蓋碗 was a gift from my family; I try to tell them that I have enough teaware as it is!… However… it emerged that a most wonderful use case for this tough 蓋碗 is in the realm of travel: whether in our many hikes as a community or domestic and international journeys, this lil' friend is invaluable. Double-walled design allows for no-fuss and -burn brewing at 90°C; I use this 蓋碗 for 普洱茶 and 白牡丹—any big-leaf tea &c. I do, however, at the same time confess that Japanese green tea has been my heart's one true love for over fifteen years now. For what it's worth. ✌🏽
