Bokksu

I’ve been subscribed for over a year now, and every single monthly box is a revelation. Having lived in Japan years ago, I can say that these sublimely curated treats are authentic and absolutely top quality. They bring back a tremendous sense of “natsukashii” (loosely translates to “nostalgia”, but in a happy way, not a sad way), proving that taste and smell are the senses most closely linked to the parts of the brain associated with memory! From things like white peach mochi to chocolate ganache cake to curry senbei to sweet potato cookies, ginger rice crackers, and a wonderful variety of teas, the variety is jaw-dropping. It’s hard to pick out favorites! Customer service is excellent, the one time a box got delayed in transit by a few weeks, they responded to my email incredibly quickly, and immediately sent a replacement Bokksu. If I could change only one thing, it would be that there is so much plastic packaging, I suspect it’s not great for the environment. On the other hand, having all the original Japanese packaging really adds to the authenticity. So, I feel a little guilty about it, but I’ll admit that I love it. The Bokksu box itself is very high quality and simple but elegant, and recyclable! 👍🏻

I enjoyed most of the snacks, but the experience was awesome all together! Box is beautiful, the sheet with snack names and ingredients is really helpful!
