My review has nothing to do with the product. The Lyre’s Dry London Spirit (blue label) is the best nonalcoholic gin I have found, after tasting many, MANY different brands. I adore the botanical taste of Bombay Sapphire, but due to a cardiac diagnosis, I am not drinking an alcoholic G&T anymore. The Lyre’s product allows me to imbibe in a delicious alternative that is almost the same taste as a Bombay Sapphire G&T. The pink label is also very tasty, a sweeter alternative, mixes wonderfully with Betty Buzz Grapefruit tonic and lime juice. My review addresses a shipping problem I had with a recent order, which was placed during a fantastic sale on the website. I never received the case I ordered, so I emailed the company about the problem and waited for a reply. And waited….and waited. Emailed them three times, and even wrote a message on the Lyre’s Facebook page. After that, I was finally contacted and they found that yes, my case had not been delivered, then sent out another case. I received that case, but a bottle was completely empty with the top damaged and the shipping box and other bottles drenched. This was due to poor packaging of six bottles in the shipment. The bottles were each wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a large box with absolutely nothing between them. Rattling around, bumping and banging against one another. Several bottles had loose tops and a tiny amount of product had leaked out into the bubble wrap bags. These bottles need to be placed in a box with cardboard dividers, and the screw tops need to be taped down securely to be shipped. This is how Amazon ships a Lyre’s product, with no leakage. I immediately sent photos to Lyre’s, told them the problem and how I thought they could fix the problem, then waited for a reply. I was required to resend the photos, but they did send me another bottle to replace the empty one. This bottle had lost a small amount of liquid. The inside of the bubble wrap was wet and a bit of the product was missing, the top being slightly loose. No one read the problem from the first shipment. My order was fulfilled, but the shipping practices are still the same! Some of the product was lost due to the shipping practices. I love this product, but it is a shame my orders are nearly always leaking from the poor packaging. So the company took care of replacing my lost case, and that is good costumer service, but it did take a while.
