Resurrected dead Synology 1513+!
I was so crushed when I realised my NAS died after 13 years in service with over 30TB of storage. Yes I made the mistake and did not have a remote back up.
However, after a little bit of research I came to realise it was either the capacitors or the Dom that had failed. Checked the Ohm readings on the capacitors, and they seemed fine. Ran a write test on the DOM, and it was writing at 1mb/s.
I had zero confidence in soldering a Aubest chipset, so I looked for a full DOM replacement, and came across this excellent website. The part was dispatched within 12 hours of ordering, and arrived extremely quickly (I'm on the other side of the world in Australia).
The NAS now boots up and there's no more blinking blue light. Couldn't be happier!!!
