Excellent Quality, Terrible Zoom Range

I am a huge Eufy fan. I have 15+ cameras from them spread across two properties. I purchased this with high expectations and I was excited to receive it. That is, until I set it up. The zoom lens is very limited in its range of motion, making it nearly useless unless you’re able to mount it approximately 20’-30’ high. Now if you’re mounting it on your house in the city and everything is confined and close quarters, it’ll be fine. But for those of us who have land, the useful range of the zoom lens is approximately a 25’ circle around the camera. Anything beyond that, the zoom lens will max out its vertical range. I feel let down as everything else about the camera is excellent. I may end up returning this on Amazon.

Decent camera with one massive flaw

Camera, charger, etc all seem to work well, though the interface is not intuitive and somewhat frustrating. One HUGE flaw - you cannot share the ability to view recorded material. You can share this camera, but only the live view will be shared. Not being able to share the recorded instances is a HUGE miss and a deal-killer for me.

Too many limiting capabilities of this camera

It's great to have the cameras to monitor my cottage and 72 acres however, there seem to be some very big shortcomings with this camera--it has very limited upward pan capability especially when you chose the 3x zoom, the view then "drops" to the lower half of what you can see in the 1x or standard. Why not allow the zoom to the CENTER of the standard view? Also, the camera doesn't have automatic tracking (panning) of whatever has moved into view. Not sure if I would have bought them had I known of these significant shortcomings

it wont charge the battery in cold weather

If you are living in a cold weather, please do not buy it, it has issues that it cannot charge the battery when weather is less than 0 degrees Celsius. I stay in 4 months cold weather in Michigan, they suggested me to remove the camera and take it warmer place then charge it to a wall socket.
