I've had the same red micro photon light for 18 years. My teamleader handed it to me as a little gift on the eve of the invasion and ground war in Iraq. It went on every mission, was blown up numerous times for 19 months. I carried it on my dog tags in between the 1st tour and my 2nd tour in 05 where it lived another hard life for 15 months, and again back onto my dog tags, until it got its first tour of Afghanistan in 2010 for 13 months and yet again a hard life. It survived hellish conditions in both combat and field training. And was used for countless functions. I retired in 2015 and this light has lived on my Keychain. During this entire time it retains its original battery. If this light could talk it would have some wild stories. So if you're on the fence about one of these lights don't be. If their current quality is the same as it was 18 years ago you won't be disappointed.

I bought a microlight 17 years ago in 2003. I have been in the military for 15 years and always had the light hanging on my dog tags. The ligt did several tours to Afganistan and Iraq and even today it stil works. I never even have changed the batteries. Thank you Photonlight for this wonderful product.

Often copied, but never surpassed. I've spent several decades in the electrical, automation and telecommunication trades. I am invariably surrounded by commercial grade work and drop lights. But I always make sure I have my Photon Freedom . The design has proved invaluable to me, and at times, life preserving. I have purchased dozens for personal use and as gifts. Please keep the production in the USA. In a world growing stranger by the day, thanks for a wonderfully practical and thoroughly reliable product.

When I had a problem w/ a recently purchased LED Lenser, Photon Light did the right thing. Sent a new replacement flashlight and asked me to send the defective one back to them at their expense. I'm used to Customer Service just paying lip service to customers--not these guys. They make it easy to work with and trust them.

I bought a micro light in the late 1990s for my key chain. I could not count how many times I have used it and it still is going strong. Believe it or not, it's the same battery! I wish everything was made with this level of quality! Amazing product!
