A truly all-in-one cinema camera

The FX6 is a little workhorse of a camera. While it doesn't have the pristine 6k sensor of the FX9, it makes up for this with a better form factor and no need for a huge attachment module to record raw. The built-in ND filter wheel, top handle, and side grip, really make this an all-in-one camera that requires minimal additional accessories.

Great camera, but media not included

*MEDIA NOT INCLUDED* - If I could give any constructive criticism, there should be a clear and visible disclaimer or a pop-up when renting that notifies the renter that the package does not have media included. That being said, I would give this 5-stars otherwise. I blame myself fully for not reading the details of what is included in the package, but made an assumption based on previous camera rentals from other companies. I rent out my camera package at a local rental house, and they always include 2 cards in the package. Luckily, the FX6 can use high-speed SD cards which I already had.

Amazing Camera - Issues with our external monitor set-up

The camera and lens were great. The footage looked incredible with the Cinetone and the 4K 120 was amazing. I wish you could make more adjustments in the touchscreen menu but getting to the full menu I had issues with the Atomos monitor set-up that led me to not use it. The arm we rented wouldn't tighten enough to keep the monitor from spinning either at the camera or at the monitor and the screws for the hard drive enclosures didn't work so I had to use some tape to keep them together. But like I said I ended up just not using it in the end, so no RAW but the footage looked great in camera with plenty of latitude. So it's really just about the bummer of not being able to use it and test out the RAW in the environment we were in.

The shoulder rig was defective.

Someone had changed the handle mounting in a way that could have only been fixed with small screwdrivers I didnt have when I needed them. I couldnt use the shoulder mount at all. I could not call support when I discovered this because I was on site at a videography gig far from service. I really needed what I rented to work because this gig was important and it was also in a remote location so I couldn't get supports help. I found this to be a pretty mediocre experience all around. I would have rated this a 2 stars but the body worked well. Please in the future check the configuration of your rigging. I also had an issue with the lense where sometimes the auto focus would stop communicating with the camera body. This was a fairly disappointing rental, and I am not sure if I would rent from Lens Rentals again. If yall could refund the shoulder mounts cost that would go a long way in restoring my confidence in this company.
