Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS

Although the lens covers a great range from 24-105mm, making it a solid travel lens, I was disappointed in the sharpness and chromatic aberration. When zoomed in and shot at an f/4, the chromatic aberration includes an undesirable glow effect.

Too heavy.

Disappointed in new RF 24-105. Not a bad lens but very average in performance. However, the RF 100-400 f5.6-8 an R6 combination is superlative for any moving wildlife. Amazing focus and detail.

I was missing a lens hood. I've looked everywhere, it wasn't included.

I was disappointed in the RF 24-105mm f4L. I rented it to see if it would be a good upgrade from my RF 35mm f1.8 STM and well, it wasn’t. Although it was nice to have the ability to zoom, I guess I’m just a prime lens person. I took it on a midday walk through the redwoods and although it can be quite shady under those big trees the light was still decent, yet all my photos were grainy, blurry, high ISO, etc. It did ok for portraits in bright sunlight as long as the subject was holding still. When I had them move around a little, the lens just wasn’t fast enough. Even on a tripod, my landscape photos weren’t as good as my 35mm that was half the cost. I’m glad I rented this lens instead of buying it because I would have regretted that purchase. Aside from the actual lens, shipping was fast! Everything was packaged perfectly and lens rentals customer service was awesome!
