Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS

I was very happy with my rental. The RF 24-105mm f/4L is such a great lens, I rented it twice in under a month for two video projects. One thing I’m really happy about is there was no sound of the autofocus system while a rode videomic pro + was mounted on top of the camera. Had to double check this was a USM lens and not a STM.

Perfect lens for a day shoot on a boat. Wide enough to photograph close quarters on deck, then also enough zoom for some close ups of faces and details. Speed was perfect for a bright sunny day, and the size and weight of the lens was very manageable for all day holding.

Worked well for B-roll camera.

Probably one of my favorite all in one lens, especially for video to get some parallax zoom effects (cinematic effect where you go from full tele to wide as you approach your subject, or vice versa) and the image stabilization helped get some super steady shots in slower shutter speeds that wouldn’t be possible on other lenses
