Canon’s mistake

I don’t know why Canon made a sells this lens at the price they do. It is on par with lenses twice the price in terms of sharpness and quality. This lens is used on more than half of my studio’s income. Amazing color and sharpness.

Tact sharp solid lens for outdoor shots

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to take Canon's RF 24-105mm f/4L IS lens for a spin during a breathtaking mountain hike. The lens's sharpness truly impressed me, capturing every intricate detail of the rugged landscapes. As I framed wide-angle shots of the majestic peaks, the lens's exceptional clarity brought out the textures of the rocks and the vibrant hues of the wildflowers. Throughout the hike, I found myself switching seamlessly between focal lengths, and the lens performed admirably in capturing both sweeping panoramas and intimate close-ups. The resulting images showcased a remarkable balance between sharpness and natural bokeh, rendering the mountain vistas in stunningly lifelike quality. Notably, the lens's image stabilization proved invaluable when shooting handheld on uneven terrain. It enabled me to maintain sharpness even while traversing challenging paths, ensuring my shots remained steady and devoid of any blur. Additionally, the lens's autofocus system swiftly locked onto subjects, allowing me to swiftly capture fleeting moments like a squirrel darting across a tree branch or a cascading waterfall. During video recording, the lens's smooth and nearly silent operation was a boon. It allowed me to capture not only breathtaking visuals but also the ambient sounds of the wind rustling through the trees and the distant chirping of birds. This seamless integration of sharp imagery and pristine sound truly elevated the overall quality of my outdoor footage. In conclusion, Canon's RF 24-105mm f/4L IS lens proved to be an exceptional companion for my mountain hike photo shoot. Its remarkable sharpness, versatile focal range, and image stabilization capabilities combined to deliver images that captured the essence of the outdoors while preserving the sights and sounds of the moment.

Travel Lens Test

Lensrentals has been a great to rent from and a easy to use website. This is my third time renting and will not be my last. Great way to try lens that I'm thinking about in the future. This lens looked to be in new condition.
