Mojotone rocks! I've been thinking about building a tube amp kit for while now and finally took the plunge on the British 18w TMB (plus 112 cabinet and Mojotone British Vintage 30 16w speaker). Materials and build quality were both excellent and support was outstanding!!! I did receive a defective backplate and one bad power tube and they were quick to rectify the situation to keep my build on track. Overall the build wasn't too difficult. Mainly you need to plan out your steps ahead of time, not work too long in one sitting, and always review your work a few times. I definitely suggest a good multimeter, third-hand tool, soldering iron with several different tips, and desoldering tool. For testing, a variac and series current-limiting lightbulb are essential (and do your research about testing it safely!). As other reviews have stated, the wire length is tight so definitely order more with your kit. And if you have questions, Mojotone is there to help! So how does it sound? In a word, awesome! All the channels/inputs sound great. It gets loud fast but levels off at a certain point with more and more power amp breakup. The breakup is very musical and the amp responds beautifully to the volume knob -- back it off and it cleans up nicely, crank it and duck and cover! Similarly with playing dynamics. I will say though, the high gain channel might actually have too much gain, but it's still very usable at around 50%. I can't wait to put a mic on it and cut some test tracks to share with my guitar player friends. Very satisfied!

I will not install the prewired assembly I purchased for about another month but I have great expectations. For website quality, information, Prices, and delivery, I have zero complaints. I would like to think I will use you again but cannot promise. Failure would be my fault entirely not yours.
