I had the stick which failed after a couple of years and then I bought the oven which I use more than my three other ovens. I wish it was a little bit easier to clean.

I have wanted a chamber sealer since even before I got my first immersion circulator circa 2014/15, and I am not disappointed. Of course, being able to easily vacuum seal dishes with lots of marinade is so easy with a chamber sealer, so that is no surprise, however it really opens up a lot of dishes that were difficult/impossible previously. The first sous vide dish I made was chicken with a pesto marinade. I prepared enough for 3 portions, cooked the first sous vide, and froze the other two for easy meals later. When the chicken was cooked, I poured the marinade into a bowl with some additional water and penne pasta and pressure cooked the penne for I think 3 minutes while I seared the chicken breast. It was a sensational result. I use the pressure a lot for cuban dishes, the chamber vacuum sealer again is great for marinades like pernil asado. Again, do 3 portions, leave one over night marinating with the mojo and freeze the other 2. What surprised me were the non seal uses. For instance, rehydrating dried shiitake mushrooms in some stock/water - done in 10 minutes using the pickle setting twice, instead of hours of soaking. Forget the pickled onion with your cuban dish that you've just put on the table? A quick pickle cycle in the anova chamber vacuum sealer and you are good to go while everything is still hot. Lacto ferments are another surprise. You need to "burp" the mix a couple of times, but it is so easy to reseal the bag multiple times. My first lacto fermentation was a chili sauce. It looks great, I can't wait to try after it has aged. The next will be kimchi. So as I said, you may well be surprised at how versatile owning a anova chamber vacuum sealer might be once you get to play with it for a while.
