YOU COULD BUILD A RELIGION AROUND THESE SHOES
I love heritage brands and sneakers with stories. Stan Smiths, Clydes, Cortezes, and Mexico 66's are a few of my favorites. This year, I welcomed Seavees into the family. Five pairs of Hawthornes, two Bajas, two Middies, and one Kelso Dunes. Fit, build quality, materials, and style are all A+. The vibe is elevated, retro, minimalist, and laidback. Forget Converse and Vans, unless you are in high school. Ditch Johnston & Murphy and Allen Edmonds, too, unless you are a middle-aged, suburban dad with a beer gut. Instead, slip on a pair of Seavees and soak in the sunny, insouciant attitude of Southern California.
