Band tight, cups loose
I really like this bra, but the sizing was tricky for me.
I like the overall shape and it is very supportive. I like the cute crisscross in the front, the thick band, and thick straps.
I ordered this bra (the Absolute Wire-Free Minimizer) AND the wired version (the Absolute Minimizer) in 40G, my typical size in most brands. The wired version fits fine. In this version, the Wire-Free, I had three fit problems. (1) The band is tight / too compressive around my rib cage. Somehow the bra minimizes back fat spillage, which is great, while also squeezing my rib cage too tight, which is not great. (2) The cups seem the right size looking head on, but at the sides, by my arms, there is a lot of excess material / it is baggy / loose. (3) The non-wire wire comes up too high on the outer sides of the bra and pokes me a bit under my arms. Not so bad because it is not a real wire, but it is annoying/uncomfortable.
I spoke to a Bare Necessities Fit Expert about my issues and she recommended that I try a 42DD. I've never needed to go up to a 42 in band size, and it is very rare that my G/DDDD breasts fit in an E/DD, but I ordered it to give it a try. I hope it works because it seems like a great bra if you can get the right fit! I'll try to remember to update this review when I get the new bra.
Friendly reminder, don't take the tags off until you are sure you want to keep the bra! I was not able to return/exchange because I wore the bra once and took the tags off (I didn't realize how uncomfortable it was until after I wore it for a few hours).
