OEM BMW Mini Discount Parts

I had a question about an oil filter I have on my shelf. Will a 2013 M5 oil filter work on our 2023 Alpina B8? I believe your parts guy physically compared both side by side. While they are very similar, the M5 filter is a little bit taller. That's good service and the info is much appreciated.
