Fast shipping—My order of December 28 of four screened bottom boards and four telescoping covers arrived in just 3 days. These bottom boards are exactly what I was looking for. I wanted slots in the back that allow mite boards to be slid in and cover the entire underside. I use them when treating for varroa with formic or oxalic acids. They also allow varying degrees of ventilation. I looked at numerous suppliers and Blue Sky not only had the best price, they were the only one that specified this feature in the description, i. e. “Comes with white corrugated plastic tray that slides in the back for varroa mite monitoring. ” Describing it as a “tray” is a bit misleading because it is actually a flat plastic board, however, they are not alone in describing it as such, but elsewhere there are actual trays which hold water, oil, etc. , touted for catching varroa mite or hive beetles. I also want to applaud Blue Sky’s customer service. I called about a small issue with the order and the woman I spoke to was very friendly and took care of it immediately. If only more companies realized the importance of good customer service.
