BasePaws I am most impressed with. Their customer service was excellent, especially how they responded promptly to all my (sometimes nattering, and always cat enthused) questions! The reports were wonderful, accurate, and informative (I was able to verify them, especially the dental one, based on the current condition of my 18 year old cat’s teeth!). I opted for the full genome sequencing, as I wanted to preserve the genetic memory of my cat, and also contribute to important feline genomic research. I was most excited when the cute cat flash drive containing my cat’s data arrived (I was even able to look at all his CATG(ene)s, with some research online). Hats off to you Basepaws, thank you, and much appreciation to you for offering this service (and one of the most enjoyable experiences of 2021)! My cat probably enjoyed the swab part the most, as he thought it was a new toy to chomp on.

Very greatfull for the tests. Have 3 cats and got them all tested. Bon-Bon the youngest one has bad breath and the test acknowledged it. Now i can take a copy to the vet and get this taking care of before it becomes a major issue. Thank you so much!!!!

It was great to learn more about my cat through this DNA test. The kit came with clear and easy directions, and she didn't mind the cheek swab much.

The service did what we expected. We didn't expect our wayward cat to be anything near a purebred, but we were curious what his genetic breakdown was. Time to process was not bad, cost wasn't bad, and the folks at Basepaws are really nice.

I have had so much fun reading the results of my cats' DNA tests. It is interesting to see what breeds they have matched and speculate about what it all might mean. It is a fun way to connect with your cat and learn more about them.
